L’Oréal, Shiseido, and three other companies have raised objections to the authenticity of the samples. After reviewing by the Shanghai Municipal Food and Drug Administration, it was found that none of the three companies had produced or imported the non-compliant products identified in the random inspections.
Today (September 5th), the National Medical Products Administration issued a notice regarding 23 batches of non-compliant cosmetics.
According to the notice, in the 2023 national cosmetics sampling and testing work, conducted by institutions such as the Chongqing Food and Drug Inspection and Testing Institute, it was found that 23 batches of cosmetics, including Tianke Hair Dye Cream (Natural Black) produced by Guangzhou Tianke Cosmetics Co., Ltd., did not comply with regulations. CHAILEEDO found that among the cosmetics reported in this notice, there were well-known brands such as Lancôme and Anessa.
According to the penalty information, the 23 batches of products include hair dye creams, essences, face masks, and sunscreens. Among them, “Lancôme UV Expert Aqua Gel” under L’Oréal (China) Co., Ltd. did not detect the sunscreen agent as indicated by the product label and registration information; “Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Gel” under Shiseido (China) Investment Co., Ltd. had inconsistent labeling with the registered technical requirements and did not detect the indicated sunscreen agent on the product label; “HOYU Hair Dye Cream (with PROSTEP Oxygen Milk)” imported by HOYO (Shanghai) Cosmetics Sales Co., Ltd. detected a hair dye agent that was not indicated on the product label as required by the registration information.
The documents show that all three companies raised objections to the authenticity of the samples. After reviewing by the Shanghai Municipal Food and Drug Administration, it was found that none of the three companies had produced or imported the non-compliant products identified in the random inspections.
