Planity, the leading beauty booking appointment company in France, has successfully raised 45 million euros in Series C funding. The financing round was led by InfraVia Capital Partners, a French fund, along with Planity’s existing shareholders, including Crédit Mutuel Innovation, Revaia, and Bpifrance Digital Ventures.
The infusion of capital aims to propel Planity into becoming the European leader in its industry by the end of the year. As part of its expansion plans, the company intends to hire 300 new employees and incorporate conversational artificial intelligence into its platform. This integration will enable users to manage calls and schedule appointments via telephone while also facilitating mobile payments through bank card transactions. Planity is also considering potential acquisitions and investments in new verticals, such as well-being and fitness, by offering group class bookings.
Founded in 2017 by Antoine Puymirat, Jérémy Queroy, and Paul Vonderscher, Planity quickly emerged as the market leader in France and currently serves 35 percent of the country’s beauty establishments. Within a year and a half of its launch, the company has also gained a strong foothold, ranking second in Germany and Belgium.
Antoine Puymirat described the recent funding as a pivotal phase in Planity’s history and emphasized the company’s ambition to replicate its national successes in Germany and Belgium. Guillaume Santamaria, a partner at InfraVia Capital Partners, noted that Planity’s business model aligns with a global trend in the sector, underscoring the company’s potential for significant growth.
With over 10 million monthly appointments made through its platform in hairdressing and beauty salons, Planity has proven its value to the industry. Salons that have used the service for at least a year experience a 16 percent increase in sales, attributed in part to new client acquisition and a reduction in missed appointments.
Having previously raised 30 million euros in 2021, which facilitated substantial employee recruitment, Planity now serves more than 40,000 establishments, including 2,000 in Germany and 1,000 in Belgium. In total, the company has secured 95 million euros in funding since its inception. In 2023, Planity recorded 40 million euros in sales, marking a remarkable 60 percent growth compared to the previous year.
Looking ahead, Planity has plans to expand into Southern Europe starting in 2025, further solidifying its position as a leading player in the beauty booking appointment industry.
