Recently, CeraVe, the ceramide-focused skincare brand under L’Oréal, has expanded into hair care with a new five-product collection. The range includes two shampoos, two conditioners, and a two-in-one wash, divided into two lines: Gentle Hydrating and Anti-Dandruff.
The Gentle Hydrating line, designed for a mild, sulfate-free cleanse, features a lightweight shampoo and conditioner. Both products are formulated with CeraVe’s signature three essential ceramides (EOP, NP, and AP) and hydrating hyaluronic acid, mimicking the natural structure of the scalp for improved moisture retention.
The Anti-Dandruff line offers a specialized shampoo, conditioner, and two-in-one wash. When used with the Anti-Dandruff Conditioner, the formula claims to reduce visible flakes by up to 100%. This line also incorporates the brand’s skin-identical ceramides, addressing ceramide deficiency, which CeraVe identifies as a key contributor to dandruff.
Developed in collaboration with dermatologists, the products were tested on over 450 individuals across diverse ethnicities, ages, and genders to ensure broad efficacy. Tom Allison, Senior VP & Global Head of Professional Sales and Marketing at CeraVe, emphasized the natural evolution of the brand into hair and scalp care, highlighting the partnership with dermatologists to create effective, gentle formulas that maintain scalp health.
Priced under $10, the CeraVe hair care line is exclusive to Walmart in the U.S., positioning the products as affordable, dermatologist-backed solutions for consumers seeking both scalp and hair health.
