Recently, reports revealed that Chinese beauty giant Botanee has entered into a deep partnership with Tripollar, an Israeli premium home-use radio-frequency (RF) beauty device brand. The two parties had been in contact multiple times before, and Botanee is now developing an independent brand strategy and operational framework for Tripollar in the Chinese market, with a strong focus on expanding local business.
Botanee Group is currently recruiting for Tripollar positions such as e-commerce designers, livestreaming operations supervisors, and studio controllers, indicating that its short-term growth priorities remain centered on e-commerce channels.
In late May 2025, Nibei (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. registered Tripollar’s official WeChat account and obtained the trademark rights for “TRIPOLLAR” in Class 10, valid until mid-2031. The legal representative of Nibay is Zhang Mei, an executive at Botanee.
Before Botanee took over, Tripollar had changed its Chinese distributor in early 2024 to Hangzhou Chaopin Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. To align with this agency change, the brand’s online e-commerce stores and related social media accounts underwent a round of closures and revamps. This process partly disrupted Tripollar’s continuous operations in China, requiring a realignment and reconnection of its brand image and distribution channels.
Meanwhile, the beauty device sector has also gone through a turbulent period over the past two years due to stricter regulations.
According to Announcement No. 30 issued by China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2022, all RF devices—whether for home use or for medical institutions—must obtain a Class III medical device registration certificate before they can be manufactured, imported, or sold. This regulation was originally scheduled to be fully implemented on April 1, 2024, but three months into enforcement, regulators announced that the transition period would be extended to April 1, 2026.
The extension has given brands that have yet to complete registration extra time, allowing many RF products that were previously removed from the market to return. The industry has thus entered a new transitional phase balancing compliance and sales. However, the short-term disruptions have still disturbed sales rhythms for many brands, leading to instances of heavy discounting and clearance sales.
At present, Tripollar has not yet obtained the Class III certificate, while domestic beauty device brands such as AMIRO and Maryson have already secured the qualification.
According to Tripollar’s customer service, work on obtaining the national RF medical device certification is progressing according to procedure. The brand also stated that its products have a solid compliance foundation for market launch, undergoing all required national monitoring before sale, including GB safety certification, EMC test reports, optical radiation safety reports, SGS safety certification, and efficacy testing.
