In addition to launching new product lines, Coty is also exploring new ways to drive growth in the Chinese market.
Today (August 18th), Coty announced the renewal of a long-term agreement with Adidas. Sue Nabi, CEO of Coty, commented on the renewal, stating, “Adidas is perfectly positioned to capitalize on the new well-being and athleisure trend in beauty amongst today’s consumers. ”
It is reported that Coty has had a partnership with Adidas since the 1990s and launched its first product, Adidas Moves for Him perfume, in the United States in 1999. This was followed by the launch of Adidas Moves for Her perfume in 2000.
Nabi highlighted that in recent months, Coty has introduced the Adidas Active Skin and Mind series, expanding Adidas’ range of body care products. She added, “Consumers have responded very positively to the launch, and we look forward to building on this progress with an exciting pipeline of further innovations and lines as we drive growth in new and existing markets in the future.”
In addition to launching new product lines, Coty is also exploring new ways to drive growth in the Chinese market. For example, they have collaborated with Su Yiming, China’s first Olympic champion in snowboarding, who now serves as an ambassador for Adidas.
Coty stated that its partnership with Adidas has always focused on personal care, health, sports, and the athletic lifestyle. They have conducted research and innovation in areas such as the impact of fragrances on athletic performance. They plan to continue maintaining a leading position in the field of personal care in the future.
