In celebration of Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year, 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, beauty leaders DSM-Firmenich and Ipsy have unveiled product lines inspired by the rich, earthy-brown hue. This collaboration underscores the intersection of color, scent, and self-care, tapping into consumers’ growing affinity for nature and wellness in their personal care routines.
Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, describes Mocha Mousse as a shade whose “sensorial warmth appeals to our desire for comfort,” representing an indulgence in life’s simple pleasures. The color reflects current trends emphasizing holistic self-care, aligning seamlessly with the ethos of both DSM-Firmenich and Ipsy.
DSM-Firmenich, a leader in fragrance innovation, introduces the Mocha Mousse Eau de Parfum, a multidimensional scent with notes of cocoa beans, salted peanuts, and vanilla beans. Crafted using the company’s Smell The Taste technology, the fragrance captures the color’s essence through sensory layers of texture, flavor, and emotion. The release extends to a seven-product collection, including body washes, candles, and hair mists, enabling consumers to integrate Mocha Mousse into various aspects of their routines.
Master Perfumer Honorine Blanc aimed to mirror the layered depth of Mocha Mousse in the fragrance. “The scent embodies intense yet velvety sensuality, where luxurious comfort meets seduction,” says Blanc. “It celebrates softness as a profound and captivating force.”
Ipsy, renowned for its curated beauty experiences, complements the partnership with makeup collections inspired by the color. These products highlight Mocha Mousse’s versatility, offering consumers a way to connect with the soothing warmth and natural elegance the shade embodies.
