Recently, luxury beauty house Guerlain has partnered with Aptar Beauty to supply pumps for its exclusive L’Art & La Matière collection, which includes fragrances, extracts, and personal care products. Aptar Beauty’s Sensea fragrance pump was chosen for all 100ml bottles in the core collection, including the latest Patchouli Paris Eau de Parfum, and for all six 50ml bottles of Les Extraits Signature, Guerlain’s most concentrated fragrance line.
The collection also features a 20ml refillable travel spray, known as the Flacon Sac, which incorporates Aptar’s VP4 cartridge. This system ensures gentle actuation with a High Definition Spray (HDS) insert, providing precision and ease of use.
Refillability is central to the collection’s sustainability commitment. L’Art & La Matière fragrances can be refilled in-store, while the travel sprays are designed for convenient at-home refilling.
According to Aptar Beauty, the Sensea pump was selected for its soft and gentle actuation, delivering a fine, homogeneous spray at a wide 60-degree angle. The pump’s screw-on design ensures easy reloading across all product formats. The pumps and collars, anodized in gold and engraved with Guerlain’s iconic double-G monogram, are crafted at Aptar Beauty’s Le Neubourg facility in France.
For the collection’s scented hand and body lotions and soaps, Aptar’s GSA pump, manufactured at its Chieti facility in Italy, was selected. This pump features advanced actuation technology, creating a metal-free pathway to prevent formula contact with metal components, ensuring compatibility and formula integrity. Its twist-to-lock design simplifies refilling while maintaining a luxurious, gold-anodized aesthetic in line with the rest of the collection.
Anne Dupé, Key Account Manager at Aptar Beauty EMEA, commented: “Our wide range of technologies is designed to cover all brands’ needs. This collaboration perfectly demonstrates the synergy between our manufacturing sites, as well as our ability to adapt our dispensing solutions to meet the exacting standards of luxury houses.”
