Recently, according to report, Hermès is preparing to enter the skincare market with the launch of a new luxury skincare line in 2028. The announcement was made by Eric du Halgouët, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, during a recent call with analysts, confirming that the project is already in development.
The move marks a strategic expansion of Hermès’ beauty division, which currently includes fragrance, makeup, and hand care products. The brand first entered the beauty sector in 2020 with the launch of La Beauté Hermès makeup, followed by Les Mains Hermès, a line focused on hand care.
According to industry data cited by Vogue Business and MFF, the global skincare market is growing at an annual rate of 5–6%, outpacing the 3–4% growth of the makeup segment. The company’s decision to invest in skincare aligns with this trend and aims to strengthen Hermès’ position in the expanding luxury beauty sector.
In 2025, Hermès’ Perfume & Beauty division reported revenues of €367 million, down 5.6% from the previous year, while the group’s overall revenue rose 6% to €11.9 billion. The upcoming skincare line is therefore seen as part of a broader effort to diversify the brand’s beauty portfolio and improve long-term growth prospects.
The development of the skincare range is being led by Gregoris Pyrpylis, artistic director of makeup, and Christine Nagel, Hermès’ in-house perfumer. Product details have not yet been disclosed, but the line is expected to reflect the company’s established focus on design, craftsmanship, and quality.
Hermès has not released information about specific products or distribution plans. The brand’s skincare collection will join an increasingly competitive market that includes luxury players such as Chanel, Dior, and La Prairie.
