Kim Kardashian is bringing beauty back — this time under her billion-dollar apparel label, Skims.
Speaking on Alex Cooper’s podcast, the entrepreneur revealed plans to relaunch her beauty line as part of the Skims brand. The move marks a return to the category for Kardashian, who has previously built several successful beauty ventures.
Kardashian first launched KKW Beauty in 2017, offering prestige cosmetics focused on contouring and sculpting — looks that defined her early beauty aesthetic. Coty, the parent company of Covergirl, took a majority stake in 2021, and the brand later evolved into Skkn by Kim, expanding from skincare into makeup. Earlier this year, Skims repurchased Coty’s remaining shares, consolidating full control under Kardashian.
Last month, Skkn by Kim announced on its official website that it would be shutting down. The brand noted that while SKKN’s operations are coming to an end, its spirit of “innovation, self-care, and skin confidence” will continue in a new form.
The new Skims Beauty line will feature fan favorites from her past collections. “We’re gonna bring back what works,” Kardashian told Cooper, highlighting lip liners as one of the signature products making a return.
Kardashian, who once co-created the mass-market Khroma Beauty line with her sisters Khloé and Kourtney, continues to expand her influence across categories — from shapewear to skincare, and now, once again, into color cosmetics.
