Recently, Kobayashi Pharmaceutical announced that it will voluntarily recall its “Men’s Keshimin Premium All-in-One Cream,” part of its men’s skincare line.
According to Kobayashi Pharmaceutical, while the product met quality standards at the time of shipment, the company later found that moisture in the cream may evaporate over time, causing the active ingredient niacinamide to become concentrated. This raised concerns that the formulation could deviate from approved specifications within its three-year shelf life.
The company emphasized that no health issues have been reported to date. Other products in the Men’s Keshimin and Keshimin skincare series are not affected and remain safe for use.
The recalled cream, launched in September 2023 at around 1,690 yen, was marketed with tranexamic acid and niacinamide as key ingredients to help reduce dark spots and wrinkles.
