Yesterday, Kolmar Korea has launched an artificial intelligence-powered platform to accelerate cosmetics packaging sourcing and streamline the global procurement process.
The original design manufacturing (ODM) giant unveiled KolmarPackage.com, a web-based service designed to help beauty brands quickly identify and source packaging solutions worldwide. By uploading a photo or image of a desired package, customers can leverage AI image analysis to instantly find similar packaging options. The platform also enables users to filter results by package type, contents, country of manufacture, and capacity—significantly reducing the time spent on selection.
Traditionally, preparing to expand overseas required a packaging procurement period of three to six months. Kolmar Korea said its new platform can shorten that timeframe to within a month by integrating the full sourcing process, from package selection and supplier confirmation to minimum order quantities and price quotes. The service is managed across Kolmar Korea’s operations in Korea, North America, and China, ensuring customers are directly connected with regional experts for tailored support.
KolmarPackage.com currently features about 4,000 packaging options, with plans to expand the catalog to more than 10,000. Once a package is chosen, clients can seamlessly transition to Kolmar Korea’s full-service ODM capabilities, covering product development, manufacturing, and launch.
A Kolmar Korea spokesperson emphasized the customer-centric nature of the initiative: “This platform, which incorporates AI technology, is a customer-friendly solution that allows faster and easier sourcing of global packages verified directly by Kolmar Korea. We will continue to actively support our client companies’ entry into global markets and work to secure world-class competitiveness.”
