On September 11th, LG Household & Health Care announced that it has decided to use “sterilized recycled paper” as the packaging material for its toothpaste and cosmetics.
The company stated that by maximizing the use of sterilized recycled paper, it aims to contribute to the establishment of a resource recycling economy and the promotion of ESG management. LG Household & Health Care also emphasized that it is the first company in the Korean cosmetics and home goods industry to apply sterilized recycled packaging to its products.
Starting from October, sterilized recycled paper will be used for the packaging of LG Household & Health Care’s toothpaste. In addition, it will also be used for the packaging of new cosmetic sets and next year’s New Year’s gift sets. These products will be individually labeled to indicate that they are packaged with sterilized recycled paper.
A representative from LG Household & Health Care stated, “Although LG Household & Health Care does not produce a large number of dairy products or other related sterilized packaging products, we are committed to providing customers with a higher quality living environment and value experience. Therefore, we have decided to establish the first sterilized packaging recycling economy in the domestic cosmetics and household goods industry. At the same time, we will pay attention to the growing consumer demand for renewable products to better achieve our long-term goal of carbon neutrality and actively promote ESG management.”
