Recently, it has been reported that the luxury Arabian fragrance brand House of Amouage (hereafter referred to as “Amouage”) has expanded its partnership with Luxasia, a distributor of luxury beauty and lifestyle brands in the Asia-Pacific region, to strengthen its market presence in the area.
Amouage CEO Marco Parsiegla and Luxasia Chairman and Founder Patrick Chong signed an agreement aimed at leveraging Luxasia’s capabilities to help Amouage enter markets such as Australia, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
The company announced on LinkedIn that the partnership will also expand the brand’s existing operations in fashion boutiques and department stores, broadening its reach through more channels and formats, including mono-brand retail stores. Additionally, both parties agreed to increase investments to develop the Amouage brand across all shared markets.
Founded in Oman in 1983, Amouage currently offers over 50 fragrances and sells its products in more than 80 countries. Its international business includes 12 standalone boutiques and approximately 1,000 department stores, perfume shops, and airport outlets.
Public records indicate that Amouage officially entered the Chinese market at the end of 2020. Following a year of preparation, the brand’s first concept store in China officially opened on December 2, 2023 in Shanghai.
