Recently, luxury skincare brand Biologique Recherche announced the appointment of Jean-Guillaume Trottier as CEO. According to the company’s announcement, co-owners and current co-CEOs Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Rupert Schmid will continue to serve as members of the executive board and will be “closely involved” with the brand.
Trottier has previously worked at L’Oréal Group for three years and then spent 19 years at Estée Lauder Companies. In 2016, he was appointed as the Global President of Jo Malone. In 2019, he also became the Global President of skincare brand Darphin. Trottier will join Biologique Recherche this month and will take over as CEO in May 2024.
The brand is known for its P50 lotion and received investments from Van Rappard, Christopher Descours, and the former CEO of Nestlé in 2019.
Schmid and Delapalme issued a joint statement saying, “Jean-Guillaume, as one of the most talented leaders in the beauty industry, has an impressive track record. He will drive the future development of Biologique Recherche and take the company to new heights.”
CHAILEEDO found that as early as 2021, Biologique Recherche had already entered the Chinese market, opening official accounts on platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu. They have currently established counters in cities such as Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, and Xiamen. It is worth noting that according to the brand’s official WeChat account, the only official online store of Biologique Recherche will be launched on January 12th.
