Recently, Romain Spitzer’s leadership scope at LVMH Beauty has expanded significantly, as he steps into the role of president and chief executive officer of the group’s Fragrance division.
Spitzer, who has led LVMH Fragrance Brands — overseeing Parfums Givenchy and Kenzo Parfums — will now also take charge of the Fragrance Group LVMH Beauty, which includes Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Acqua di Parma, Loewe Perfumes, and Officine Universelle Buly 1803. This move further extends the responsibilities he gained in March 2024, when his remit was broadened to include new ventures for the division.
In his expanded role, Spitzer will focus on strengthening synergies across LVMH’s fragrance houses in areas such as go-to-market strategies, operations, manufacturing, and talent development, while maintaining each maison’s strategic and creative independence. “Romain’s expanded role, building on his impressive 30-plus years of experience in beauty, reflects both his strong leadership and the strategic importance of leveraging synergies across our fragrance brands portfolio,” said Stéphane Rinderknech, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Perfumes and Cosmetics division.
The appointment underscores LVMH’s growing emphasis on the fragrance category, which continues to outperform other beauty segments — particularly in the niche sector. Spitzer’s deep expertise and market insight are expected to guide the Fragrance Group through its next phase of growth, amid a challenging environment that saw LVMH’s Perfumes and Cosmetics division post sales of €6.04 billion in the first nine months of the year, down 8 percent on a reported basis and 6 percent like-for-like.
