Today, RAS Luxury Skincare, a natural luxury skincare and personal care brand, has raised $5 million in its Series A funding round, led by Unilever Ventures, the investment arm of Unilever. The round also saw participation from Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund. This marks a significant step in the company’s growth, following its pre-Series A raise of $1.5 million in April 2023 from Green Frontier Capital, a New York-based venture firm focused on climate change and sustainability.
The fresh capital will be strategically allocated to expand RAS’ retail presence, with an emphasis on launching exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and shop-in-shop retail spaces. Other key investment areas include talent acquisition, R&D for new product lines, branding and marketing initiatives, and enhancing technology infrastructure.
Founded by Shubhika Jain, Sangeeta Jain, and Suramya Jain, RAS is renowned for its beauty and skincare products made with natural ingredients and scientifically advanced formulations. These products are manufactured at the company’s proprietary, vertically-integrated research facility and farms located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Currently, RAS operates two EBOs and plans to launch an additional 50 outlets across India over the next three years.
The company’s offline retail expansion is expected to contribute 25% of its revenue in the next four years, reflecting its growing footprint in the beauty industry. RAS is also positioning itself for growth within the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) segment. Existing investors, including Sixth Sense Ventures and prominent angel investors such as Keki Mistry’s family, also participated in the round, underscoring continued support for RAS’ vision and growth potential.
