Yesterday, Vasiliki Petrou, the founding chief executive of Unilever’s Prestige division, has announced the launch of her new advisory and investment firm, Veralis Group Limited. The company, unveiled on LinkedIn on Tuesday, will focus on the beauty, wellness, longevity, and consumer health sectors.
Petrou described Veralis as an “ecosystem of advisors, operators, investors, and founders united by values and ambition,” signaling a mission to foster collaboration and purpose-driven growth across the industries she helped shape.
The launch comes just over a year after Petrou’s departure from Unilever Prestige in July 2024. During her decade-long tenure, she transformed the division into a powerhouse, overseeing the acquisition of 10 premium brands including Dermalogica, Tatcha, Paula’s Choice, and K18. Under her leadership, Unilever Prestige achieved 13 consecutive quarters of growth and reached €1.4 billion in sales in 2023, according to the company.
According to report, Petrou emphasized that a strong brand identity is vital for long-term success. “If you go with your authentic self and try to serve your audience best by leveraging the relevant channel strategy, that’s how you connect to your community,” she said.
With over 30 years of experience spanning Unilever and Procter & Gamble, where she spent nearly two decades including three years as global managing director, Petrou now brings her extensive expertise to Veralis — marking the start of a new chapter in shaping the future of beauty and wellness investment.
