Recently, AmorePacific is setting its sights on expanding into the US and European duty-free markets with its popular K-beauty brands Sulwhasoo, Laneige, and Hera. The beauty giant showcased its products at the TFWA Cannes event, signaling its intent to aggressively pursue Western travel retail markets. According to a report by The BK, Laneige is poised to make its debut at JFK Airport in October, marking the brand’s first entry into the travel retail space beyond Asia.
Park Doo-bae, Executive Director of AmorePacific’s Travel Retail Division, highlighted the rapid changes in the global duty-free market, driven by emerging travel trends and the adoption of AI in digital platforms. Park emphasized that the company’s participation in the TFWA event helped secure a vision for future growth by reinforcing partnerships with both existing and new global collaborators.
