Recently, Avon is poised for a significant expansion of its physical retail presence in the UK, reflecting a strategic shift aimed at revitalizing its brand and reaching more consumers. According to a report published by the Retail Gazette, quoting Retail Week, CEO Kristof Neirynck revealed that Avon is actively considering the launch of standalone franchise stores across the country. These new outlets will be operated by Avon representatives, allowing for a more personalized shopping experience and enhancing the direct sales model that the brand is known for.
This expansion comes as part of a broader strategic review aimed at adapting to the evolving retail landscape. Neirynck emphasized that the move is not just about increasing the number of locations but also about fostering a deeper connection with customers. By establishing physical stores, Avon aims to create a vibrant community space where beauty enthusiasts can engage with products, receive expert advice, and connect with representatives who embody the brand’s values.
Avon is not only looking to open new franchise stores but also to strengthen its current partnership with Superdrug. This collaboration is expected to enhance product accessibility, ensuring that Avon’s diverse range of beauty and personal care items reaches consumers through established retail channels.
With a goal of being sold in 2,300 physical stores worldwide by the end of the year, this ambitious plan underscores Avon’s commitment to adapting to changing consumer behaviors and preferences. The focus on physical retail is a strategic response to the growing demand for in-person shopping experiences, especially in the beauty industry, where customers often seek tactile engagement with products before making purchases.
