In 2023, Chinese SaaS service provider China Youzan released its annual performance report. During the year, Youzan achieved a revenue of 1.448 billion RMB, representing a 3.2% year-on-year decrease. Merchant transaction volume reached 102.5 billion RMB, with operational profitability.
Among Youzan’s paying merchants in 2023, the proportion of medium to large-sized merchants increased to 53%. The average sales per merchant on Youzan reached a new high of approximately 1.61 million RMB, marking a year-on-year growth of approximately 33%.
Additionally, the total merchandise transaction volume through Youzan’s store SaaS business amounted to 50.7 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of approximately 19%, accounting for 49% of the overall GMV.
Chairman of the Board, Zhu Ning said, “Operationally, on one hand, we will comprehensively improve sales efficiency and internal operational efficiency through marketing innovation and better utilization of AI tools to continuously improve the overall manpower efficiency and achieve the goal of exceeding 1 million per capita.
