Samir Singh, the former Chair of Unilever Asia and Head of the Unilever Singapore Hub, is set to join Colgate-Palmolive as Executive Vice President of Marketing for the Asia-Pacific division, effective December 1, 2024. Singh expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “Looking forward to this exciting role, and to be a part of a great organization, with great brands and great people!”
In his previous role as Chief Marketing Officer for Personal Care at Unilever, Singh demonstrated his expertise by overseeing marketing, strategy, innovation, communication, and advertising across a diverse global portfolio. His leadership spanned iconic brands such as Axe/Lynx, Closeup, Dove, Lifebuoy, Lux, Pepsodent, and Rexona/Sure, underscoring his capability to drive brand success on a global scale. Additionally, he served as Executive Vice President of Global Skin Cleansing and Oral Care at Unilever from 2020 to 2022.
According to Colgate’s disclosed financial report, net sales for the second quarter of 2024 reached $5.058 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, with net sales in the Asia-Pacific region totaling $682 million, up 2.7% year-on-year.
