After two years, Tmall Global has once again updated its Tmall Global Cosmetics Platform Standards , which took effect on April 19th. It is understood that in these Standards, Tmall Global has for the first time specified that when the validity period of regular products, samples, and gifts is less than one year, the expiration date of the product must be indicated.
According to customs data, the import value of cosmetics in 2022 was 149.35 billion yuan ($21.57 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%. Although it declined for the first time after years of continuous growth, it still remains high.
