Evonik establishes a new institute named the Evonik Skin Institute to address the need for intelligently formulated, scientifically validated active ingredients and cosmetic solutions. The Evonik Skin Institute comprises a worldwide consortium of life science professionals and laboratories, offering customers enhanced assistance in developing cosmetics supported by robust evidence, including biological mechanisms, biomarkers, and preclinical or clinical capabilities. This initiative will also facilitate greater collaboration on science-driven projects.
Utilizing Evonik’s biotechnology platform within its Nutrition & Care life sciences division, the Evonik Skin Institute is poised to significantly enhance the company’s biosolutions portfolio. With a foundation built upon three decades of expertise in active ingredients, more than 90 years of experience in cosmetic ingredients, and a recent string of partnerships and acquisitions, the institute will play a pivotal role in expanding Evonik’s offerings in the field.
The Evonik Skin Institute represents a worldwide assembly of skin science specialists proficient in cell biology, 3D tissue engineering, epigenetics, microbiome sciences, and clinical evaluation. This fresh institute reinforces Evonik’s Active Ingredients and Cosmetic Solutions sectors, with teams stationed in Singapore, India, Spain, and Germany.
