Celine, the renowned French fashion house under LVMH, announces its foray into the realm of makeup. Following the successful reintroduction of fragrance in 2019, creative director Hedi Slimane is expanding Celine’s beauty offerings with the launch of Celine Beauté, a color cosmetics line.
In a mesmerizing film directed by Slimane, Celine unveiled its Winter 2024 collection, titled “La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe,” which also served as a teaser for the brand’s inaugural makeup range. Throughout the film, all the models showcased the “La Peau Nue” Rose Naturel Lipstick, a stunning shade from the “Le Rouge Celine” lip category. This collection will be available for purchase in January 2025.Additionally, a satin “Rouge Triomphe” lipstick, described as a “very classic and essential satin-finish Parisian” shade, will be launching this fall.
Looking ahead, Celine plans to expand its beauty offerings with each passing season. The brand aims to introduce an array of products, including lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, eye pencils, nail polish, and blush. With a commitment to quality and innovation, Celine Beauté aims to captivate beauty enthusiasts worldwide.
CELINE joins a slew of other brands getting in on fashion’s beauty boom. In January, Prada’s skincare and makeup line launched in the U.S. Shortly after, Miu Miu announced it signed a licensing deal with L’Oréal.
