Yesterday, Omi, a company specializing in 3D modeling for brand campaigns, announced it has successfully raised €13 million in a recent funding round. The company, founded in 2020 by Hugo Borensztein and his brother Paul, aims to make 3D modeling accessible to non-experts.
Omi’s innovative approach quickly attracted investors, securing €6 million in investment even before its first Series A round. With a team of 45 employees spread across Continental Europe and the UK, Omi has integrated specialized generative AI models into its proprietary 3D technology, enhancing creative diversity and efficiency in visual content creation.
The recent €13 million funding round, officially announced on June 17, was led by British tech fund Dawn Capital. Founders Future and notable business angels, including Paul Robson, former international chairman of Adobe, also participated in the round. “By reinvesting today through this pre-emptive Series A, we are renewing our confidence in Hugo, Paul, and their teams,” stated Dan Chaplin, partner at Dawn Capital. “They have developed a platform at the convergence of two major mega-trends, namely generative AI and 3D, in a booming market: that of content creation. They have created the only player capable of fully exploiting these technologies to solve real business challenges.”
Currently, 15% of its sales come from international markets, and the company aims to grow its presence in Europe and the American market. To support this growth, Omi intends to bolster its sales and technical teams and further develop its solutions. The company continues to work with major players in the beauty and food sectors, providing cutting-edge photo and video campaign solutions.
