Oriflame, the renowned Swedish skincare, beauty, and wellbeing brand, has appointed Edyta Kurek as its first female head in India. Kurek, who will serve as the Senior Vice President and Head of India and Indonesia, is set to lead the company’s operations as it continues to expand its social selling model in the country.
Founded in Stockholm in 1967 by the Hanlin brothers, Oriflame Cosmetics Ltd. is dedicated to the development of pure and gentle skincare products based on Nordic botanical extracts, and its sales network has spread to 63 countries around the world. According to the financial report, in 2023, Oriflame recorded 750 million euros, down 19% year-on-year.
“Our social selling model empowers individuals to achieve both wellbeing and financial freedom,” Kurek stated in a press release. “We foster micro-entrepreneurship and provide the necessary training and skilling to build successful careers. As part of our strategic transformation, we’re placing a strong focus on connecting with young consumers conscious about their wellbeing. We understand the importance of wellness to today’s consumers.”
Oriflame aims to offer both financial freedom and wellbeing through its extensive range of over 130 vegan-certified products. The business retails skincare, haircare, color cosmetics, and body care goods, aiming to cater to a diverse range of age groups.
