Yesterday, Revlon Group Holdings has named Dana Medema as its new president of North America, effective May 5. Medema will report directly to CEO Michelle Peluso as she steps into the role at a pivotal time for the iconic beauty company, which is continuing its transformation following its emergence from bankruptcy in May 2023.
Medema succeeds Geralyn Breig, who joined Revlon in 2023 to help steer the North American business through its restructuring. Breig will assist with Medema’s onboarding through the end of May before returning to her corporate board commitments.
Bringing over two decades of experience in the global fast-moving consumer goods sector, Medema most recently served as senior vice president and head of personal health for North America at Philips. Prior to that, she held several senior leadership roles during a nearly 20-year tenure at Colgate-Palmolive, overseeing teams across multiple geographies and business units, including in Switzerland and Germany. Earlier in her career, she also worked in global logistics and transportation.
Peluso welcomed the appointment, stating, “We are excited to welcome Dana to the Revlon team at this critical moment in our company’s history. Her impressive personal care background, combined with her strong leadership and global commercial and innovation experience, make her the perfect fit as Revlon embarks on our next chapter of growth.”
She also expressed gratitude to Breig for her leadership during a crucial period: “Our business is stronger, our recent innovation is exceptional and our team and customer relationships are vastly improved, thanks to Geralyn.”
The leadership update follows the recent appointment of Ralph Marshall as Revlon’s chief information and digital officer, effective April 1, as the company continues to strengthen its executive team.
