Aline Santos Farhat at Unilever is bidding farewell to the company. She is Chief Brand Officer and Chief Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer, after an illustrious 35-year tenure with the company. The departure of Santos Farhat comes as a surprise, as no specific reason has been provided for her exit.
In the wake of Santos Farhat’s departure, Unilever has not announced a direct replacement for her role. Instead, the global marketing team will now report to Esi Eggleston Bracey, the Chief Growth and Marketing Officer. Meanwhile, the global equity, diversity, and inclusion team will report to the Human Resources department, as stated in a report published by Marketing Week. This restructuring indicates a shift in Unilever’s approach to brand management and diversity initiatives.
On her LinkedIn profile, Santos Farhat expressed her gratitude for the privilege of a 35-year career at Unilever, a vibrant company that has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on her professional journey. She also revealed that she is yet to determine her next steps and is embracing the uncertainty of what lies ahead. In her post, she stated, “As I celebrate this landmark anniversary, I am also delighted to share that I am starting my next chapter; I am leaving Unilever at the end of March to embark on a whole new adventure (details of which are unknown even to me!).”
