American Sunscreen Brand Supergoop Appoints New CEO

Recently, Supergoop, the renowned sunscreen brand, has announced the appointment of Lisa Sequino as its new chief executive officer.

Lisa, who previously held the position of CEO at JLo Beauty and possesses extensive experience with esteemed companies like the Estée Lauder Cos. and Procter & Gamble, is well-equipped to lead Supergoop into its next phase of growth.

Following the departure of Amanda Baldwin, who took on the role of CEO at Olaplex, Lisa Sequino has assumed the top slot at Supergoop. Founder Holly Thaggard expressed her confidence in Lisa, stating that she brings invaluable expertise and a unique perspective to the table. Having successfully scaled and accelerated the growth of both established luxury brands and emerging beauty companies, Lisa is poised to make a significant impact at Supergoop.

Lisa Sequino’s arrival at Supergoop coincides with Blackstone’s acquisition of a majority stake in the company in late 2021. This partnership positions Supergoop for further growth and success. In fact, the brand achieved an impressive $250 million in sales in 2022, a testament to its strong market presence and consumer demand.
