Renowned makeup artist Rokael Lizama, known for his work with Beyoncé during her “Renaissance” tour, has officially launched his own makeup brand, Rokael Beauty. Now he’s making his expertise accessible to fans through his makeup line, available for purchase online.
Lizama’s journey into the world of beauty products began with the release of his signature luxury faux mink lashes. Prior to venturing into his own brand, he played a significant role in the launch of Lilly Lashes alongside Lilly Ghalichi, with whom he shared a roommate. The lashes, featuring a range of 24 styles, quickly gained popularity among professionals, with the cat-eye “Aurora” style becoming a favorite. Lizama’s expertise also extends to product development, having collaborated with prestigious brands such as Haus Labs and Anastasia Beverly Hills before deciding to establish his own venture.
“I wanted to really make a lifestyle brand, but because I’m a makeup artist, makeup was the first category that I wanted to introduce myself into the market with,” shared Lizama, indicating his intentions to expand beyond beauty. Through his successful career as an in-demand makeup artist, he had worked with high-profile clients including Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande.
Lizama’s initial product launch in January focused on lip color, offering a range of 10 shades of creamy, velvet matte lipsticks priced at $26 each. In addition to the lipsticks, the collection features 10 lip liners priced at $19 and 10 lip oils priced at $24, all of which are vegan and cruelty-free, with detailed ingredient lists available on the brand’s website, rokaelbeauty.com. Lizama is currently testing the market with his online sales approach and plans to explore retail opportunities in the future.
Notably, Beyoncé herself has worn these products during the “Renaissance” tour and in her latest music campaigns. Eye shadows are the next addition to the brand’s lineup, having already been tested and showcased on Beyoncé. Lizama has also developed blushes and has plans to release foundation and skincare products in the future.
