Recently, Proya, a leading Chinese cosmetics company, announced the official establishment of its European Innovation Center in Paris, France. This marks the first time a Chinese beauty company has set up a science and technology innovation center in Paris. More than 100 Chinese and French guests, including Proya Chairman Hou Juncheng and Tang Xiaohua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of France’s Heng Tong Group, attended the event to celebrate the opening of Proya’s European Innovation Center.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Chairman Hou Juncheng stated that the establishment of the European Innovation Center in Paris represents a significant step in Proya’s internationalization efforts. He emphasized that this achievement was made possible not only by the encouragement and support of overseas Chinese but also by the high-quality raw materials provided by European suppliers.
When asked about the reason for choosing Paris as the location, Hou Juncheng explained in an interview with European Times: “France is the fashion capital and also the cosmetics capital, with many advantageous resources concentrated in Paris. Proya’s establishment of a Innovation Center in Europe aims to empower its technology, talent, and brand, laying a solid foundation for Proya to go global.”
It is reported that Proya’s European Innovation Center will primarily engage in the development of advanced cosmetic raw materials, formulation research, brand building, and product sales. In the initial phase, the center will focus on developing high-quality upstream supplier resources in the raw materials industry. Later, it will gradually expand to independent raw material development, formulation research, brand building, and eventually launch cosmetic product sales in France and Western Europe at the appropriate time, fostering the continuous development of the company’s product and brand strength.
