Recently, the Credit Guangzhou platform announced an administrative penalty case involving a company producing non-compliant labels. The information reveals that Guangzhou Jiamei Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guangzhou Jiamei”) was fined 23,000 yuan ($3163) for allegedly producing medical device labels that did not meet regulations.
It is noteworthy that this company has been fined four times in the past year. According to Credit Guangdong, Guangzhou Jiamei has been penalized four times from September 2023 to the present, with a total fine amount of 600,000 yuan ($82515.6). The fines in September 2023 and March 2024 were relatively high, amounting to 300,000 yuan ($41257.8) and 247,000 yuan ($33968.9), respectively.
Guangzhou Jiamei was established in July 2018, with Zhang Guanghe as the legal representative. The company mainly engages in the production and sale of Class I medical devices, cosmetics production, wholesale and retail, and personal care products. It also provides ODM/OEM services for brand labeling and processing.

Public information indicates that Beijing Tongrentang was founded in 1669 (the eighth year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing Dynasty) and is a well-known time-honored brand in the Chinese traditional medicine industry.
