Yesterday, Lily Collins, the star of Emily in Paris, has made a strategic investment in Rōz, a hair care brand created by celebrity stylist Mara Roszak. Collins participated in an “oversubscribed” seed funding round, which was spearheaded by private equity firms Silas Capital and G9 Ventures. This round also included prior celebrity investors such as Mila Kunis, Daisy Ridley, and Zoe Saldana, who joined during an earlier ‘friends-and-family’ investment phase.
The funds raised will be used to bolster Rōz’s retail expansion and strengthen its presence in the professional beauty sector. Mara Roszak, the founder of Rōz and stylist to stars like Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, and Nicole Kidman, expressed her excitement about the brand’s rapid growth and the enthusiastic reception of their products. She plans to use the investment to expand her team, develop new products, and enhance the brand’s offerings.
Rōz, founded in 2021, has quickly become a sought-after brand in the hair care industry. The brand currently offers eight products, including the popular Root Lift Spray, Milk Hair Serum, and Santa Lucia Styling Oil, and is available at retailers like Credo, Neiman Marcus, Goop, and Revolve. Brian Thorne, Partner at Silas Capital, praised Rōz for filling a unique gap in the market with its award-winning, clean, and easy-to-use hair care essentials that deliver professional-level performance.
