Estée Lauder’s Three Brands Unveil New Leadership

Yesterday, The Estée Lauder Companies has introduced new leadership for three of its California-based brands: Too Faced, Smashbox, and Glamglow. Following a series of executive shifts, Somer Tejwani has been named senior vice president and global general manager of Too Faced, while Michelle Shigemasa will serve as senior vice president and global general manager of both Smashbox and Glamglow.

Tejwani, who has been with Too Faced since 2012 and held a key role in its global marketing efforts, will assume her new position on January 1. Shigemasa, returning to Estée Lauder after a tenure as CEO at Murad and R.E.M. beauty, will take on her new role immediately. Both leaders will report to Stéphane de La Faverie, executive group president of Estée Lauder.

De La Faverie, executive group president of Estée Lauder, praised both Tejwani and Shigemasa for their expertise in driving innovation and enhancing consumer engagement. He expressed confidence in their ability to strengthen the brands’ positions in the market, focusing on creativity, brand equity, and product education.

Tejwani is excited to lead Too Faced into its next phase of growth, while Shigemasa aims to drive disruptive innovation and operational excellence at Smashbox and Glamglow. Both executives are poised to navigate these brands through ongoing challenges, including recent layoffs and restructuring efforts at Estée Lauder.

These leadership changes come at a time of broader transitions within the company, as key executives like CEO Fabrizio Freda and CFO Tracey T. Travis prepare for retirement.
