Hair Care Brand Everist Secures Investment from Sandbridge Capital

Yesterday, sustainable hair care brand Everist has secured new investment, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. The funding round, led by Sandbridge Capital, also included contributions from the brand’s existing pre-seed investors. While financial terms were not disclosed, co-founder Jayme Jenkins emphasized that the company is coming off a year of “incredible profitable growth.”

Founded in 2021 by Jenkins and Jessica Stevenson, Everist has positioned itself as a pioneer in water-free, skin care-led hair and body care formulas. “We spent the first couple of years learning, iterating on the product and packaging, and refining our messaging,” Jenkins said. “When you have something novel, it takes time to make it intuitive for consumers.”

The brand has seen rapid growth through its direct-to-consumer (DTC) business, with Stevenson describing it as an “exponential” expansion over the last 18 months. “We’ve been able to unlock DTC by staying close to our consumer,” she explained. As Everist looks ahead, retail expansion is a key focus. “We’re preparing to enter retail in the right way, with the right partner,” Jenkins added, highlighting that Sandbridge’s backing will be instrumental in that effort.

Sandbridge Capital, known for investments in Ilia, Youth to the People, and U Beauty, sees Everist as a brand poised for long-term success. “Everist impresses with its best-in-class hair care meets skin care offering, standing apart in an importantly differentiated way,” said Ken Suslow, Sandbridge’s founder and managing partner.

While Everist’s core consumer is a 40-plus woman, Jenkins and Stevenson believe their products have broad appeal. “It’s for anyone experiencing dry scalp or texture changes,” Jenkins noted. “Once our product is in a household, we often see it being used by the whole family.”

Looking ahead, Everist is focused on expanding its hair and scalp wellness routine. Upcoming launches include scalp-focused treatments and a finishing step, with additional innovations in the pipeline. “We are committed to power-packed, natural formulas that deliver results,” Stevenson said.
