Yesterday, cosmetics package company ICONS Beauty Group has appointed Joaquim Camps as president of ICONS America, where he will spearhead the growth of the company’s beauty and wellness packaging products, including tubes, caps, bottles, and jars. The acquisition has been rebranded as ICONS America LLC, establishing a U.S.-based production hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in the production of injection molded tubes using in-molded label technology.
Camps brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as COO at packaging firm Viscofan USA Inc. and having spent over 15 years at CTL Packaging in both the United States and Spain. His expertise encompasses plastic tube manufacturing and decoration technologies, including flexography, screen printing, offset and digital printing, and hot stamping. Born in Spain and now a U.S. citizen, Camps holds a Master’s Degree in Operations & Supply Chain from ESADE Business School and a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
