IMCD N.V. (“IMCD”), a top distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, has announced the complete acquisition of Gova Ingredients by IMCD Benelux. Gova Ingredients is a well-known distributor of ingredients for the beauty and personal care sectors in the Benelux region.
Founded in 1999 and based in Hoogerheide, Netherlands, Gova offers a wide range of cosmetic actives and functional ingredients. It operates an in-house application laboratory to offer formulation assistance and technical support to its clients. With a team of 10 staff members, Gova achieved a revenue of around EUR 6 million in 2023. The company represents major international suppliers and caters to customers within the Benelux market.

It’s worth mentioning that IMCD China previously announced the complete acquisition of 100% shares of Shanghai Sanrise Industries & Development Co., Ltd. (Sanrise) in 2022. Public records indicate that Sanrise was established in 2003 and is one of the major distributors in the Chinese personal care market, achieving approximately 630 million RMB in revenue in 2021.
Additionally, IMCD China also announced the acquisition of 100% shares of Shanghai Syntec Additive Limited and Shanghai Weike Additive Limited (collectively referred to as “Syntec”) in 2021. Founded in 2003, Syntec specializes in supplying cosmetic ingredients, detergent ingredients, energy, and environmental protection industrial additives, as well as acting as agents for numerous world-leading suppliers in China, providing services to companies such as IFF, Sasol, Wilmar, and Symrise.
