Yesterday, Mumbai-based Eternis Fine Chemicals Ltd. has announced its acquisition of Tel Aviv-based Sharon Personal Care, marking a strategic expansion into the beauty and personal care industry. The acquisition includes Sharon PC’s innovation labs and manufacturing facilities in Italy and Israel, along with its distribution sites across the United States, Germany, Italy, and France. This move also grants Eternis access to Sharon PC’s extensive global distribution network.
It is reported that Eternis Fine Chemicals is one of the world’s top ten manufacturers of aroma chemicals and the largest exporter of aroma chemicals in India, with exports accounting for 80% of its sales. Traditionally focused on aroma chemicals and the flavor and fragrance sector, Eternis now broadens its portfolio to include personal care. Both business units will remain dedicated to their respective sectors, with shared ambitions to capitalize on the growing global demand for wellness and self-care products.
Sharon PC will retain its product lines under its existing brand name, though with a refreshed identity reflecting its integration into Eternis. Rajen Mariwala, managing director of Eternis, highlighted the acquisition as a milestone in the company’s international growth journey, saying, “This marks a significant step as we enter 2025, strengthening our position and capabilities.”
Eternis CEO Wilfrid Gambade emphasized the strategic alignment between the two companies, praising Sharon PC’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and quality. “This partnership enhances our presence in Europe and the United States, enabling us to serve customers with a broader portfolio,” Gambade noted. “Together, we are uniquely positioned for growth.”
Naama Eylon, CEO of Sharon PC, expressed optimism about the partnership, citing its potential to create a robust supply chain across key regions, including Asia-Pacific. “This collaboration ensures more customers experience our high-quality and innovative offerings. I look forward to the exciting times ahead as we grow and innovate together,” she said.
