Yesterday, Interparfums, Inc. has announced that its French subsidiary, Interparfums SA, has secured ownership of all Off-White brand names and registered trademarks for Class 3 fragrance and cosmetic products. This acquisition is subject to an existing license that will expire on December 31, 2025, after which Interparfums will commence commercial operations for Off-White fragrances.
The collaboration between Interparfums and Off-White is set to establish a long-term partnership, focusing on strategies, product launches, and market initiatives. Off-White, founded in 2012 by the late designer Virgil Abloh, is celebrated for its fusion of high-end streetwear and luxury, marked by its artistic and disruptive design philosophy rooted in youth culture.
It is reported that Off-White is positioned as a high-end streetwear brand, founded by Virgil Abloh in Milan, Italy, in 2014. In addition to being the founder of Off-White, Virgil Abloh held a more prominent title as the Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton’s menswear. Off-White garnered significant attention due to its talented and highly talked-about founder. Starting in 2017, Off-White experienced a global surge in popularity. Its distinctive brand elements, such as the double arrows, zebra stripes, and quotation-mark slogans, became streetwear trends, driving its sales to soar.
Jean Madar, Chairman and CEO of Interparfums, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Off-White’s distinctive positioning and Virgil Abloh’s enduring creative legacy. “This brand will help us explore new openings for fragrances in the luxury sector,” he remarked.
