Recently, the German minimalist luxury brand JIL SANDER announced that its high-end fragrance collection, the “Olfactory Series,” has successfully completed the Chinese import cosmetics registration process and has been officially approved for entry into the Chinese market.
According to official sources, the series was launched globally as early as January this year and is positioned as the brand’s first top-tier fragrance collection since its founding.
As indicated on JIL SANDER’s official website, the series is priced at €290 for a 100ml Eau de Parfum and €360 for a 200ml refill. When converted, the pricing exceeds RMB 20 per milliliter, firmly placing it in the high-end segment of the EDP (Eau de Parfum) market.
As the brand’s core fragrance lineup, the “Olfactory Series” consists of six gender-neutral perfumes that transcend traditional scent boundaries, embodying the research philosophy of “natural essence × technological innovation.” Led by the brand’s creative director, the series was developed in collaboration with several emerging international perfumers, redefining contemporary fragrance narratives through minimalist aesthetics.
Notably, the fragrance line is fully operated by global beauty giant Coty Inc., marking a new stage of strategic synergy in their long-term partnership.
Public records show that since its founding in 1973, JIL SANDER has established itself in the industry through high-quality materials and its “Less is More” design philosophy. The brand became an emblem of the minimalist movement from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. According to its latest financial report, JIL SANDER achieved a strong 61% year-on-year revenue growth in 2022, further solidifying its position as a benchmark in the luxury sector.
