Johnson & Johnson/Procter & Gamble Supplier’s 2023 Revenue Decreased by 3.41% to 1.016 Billion Yuan

Recently, Daily Chemical released its 2023 financial report. The company’s operating revenue in 2023 was approximately 1.016 billion yuan ($140.3 million), a decrease of 3.41% compared to the previous year. The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was approximately 40.16 million yuan ($5.54 million), a decrease of 42.39% compared to the previous year. The basic earnings per share were 0.4 yuan, a decrease of 42.03% compared to the previous year.

Breaking it down by product, Daily Chemical’s cosmetics business recorded revenue of 540 million yuan ($74.55 million), accounting for 53.14% of the operating revenue, a decrease of 0.38% compared to the previous year. The plastic packaging container business recorded revenue of 391 million yuan ($53.98 million), accounting for 38.53% of the operating revenue, a decrease of 3.9% compared to the previous year.

It is reported that Daily Chemical is mainly engaged in the research, development, and production of OEM/ODM daily chemical products and plastic packaging containers. The company has had more than 10 years of cooperation with major customers such as Johnson & Johnson and Shanghai Jahwa. It has formed deep cooperation in the fields of plastic packaging and daily chemical products with customers such as Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Shanghai Jahwa, Yumeijing, and Betaine, covering multiple categories and aspects.

In the field of cosmetics research and development, Daily Chemical focuses on consumer demand and conducts in-depth research on strong-effect product formulas such as scalp care, skin barrier repair, sun protection, and whitening, as well as infant and child products. It continues to develop new products by combining technologies such as suspension/microencapsulation/encapsulation, and strives to improve research and development efficiency in terms of efficacy evaluation, product filing/registration, sampling, and pilot-scale amplification.

In terms of cosmetic packaging materials, during the reporting period, the company received the “China Packaging Innovation and Sustainable Development Award” and the “Green Awareness Promotion Award.” The company’s packaging design works won the 2023 Muse Design Gold Award, as well as the IDA Design Awards in the United States, among others.
