Yesterday, Kenvue Inc. has announced Penelope Giraud as its new president of skin health and beauty for the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions. Giraud, a seasoned beauty industry professional with over two decades of experience at L’Oréal, assumes the role effective immediately.
Charmaine England, Kenvue’s chief growth officer, praised Giraud’s expertise and accomplishments, stating, “She is a seasoned beauty industry professional with deep expertise and an exceptional track record in growing culturally relevant global brands loved by consumers and dermatologists…we are confident that her leadership will strengthen the growth trajectory of our iconic skin care and beauty brands in these key markets.”
During her 24-year tenure at L’Oréal, Giraud held leadership positions at Garnier and La Roche-Posay before becoming general manager of CeraVe in 2017. Under her guidance, CeraVe became the second-largest skin care brand in the mass market and the fourth-largest beauty brand overall, according to Circana.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Giraud said, “I am delighted to join Kenvue and have the opportunity to work on this portfolio of iconic brands. I am excited to get started with the teams on building an impactful strategy to enhance the brands’ footprint and progress growth, while delivering brilliant consumer experiences.”
This announcement follows Kenvue’s recent appointment of Andrew Stanleick, a former Coty executive, as president of skin health and beauty for North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
