L’Oréal Italy has announced that Ninell Sobiecka will assume the role of president, starting from January 1, 2024. Sobiecka, who currently serves as the managing director of L’Oréal Russia, will succeed Emmanuel Goulin. Goulin has been appointed as the president of L’Oréal group’s global travel retail and will join the group’s executive committee.
Prior to joining L’Oréal, Sobiecka gained valuable experience working for renowned companies such as PepsiCo, Danone, and Henkel. In 2005, Sobiecka joined L’Oréal as the marketing director of the Vichy brand for the Swiss market.
Throughout her tenure, Sobiecka held various senior management positions within L’Oréal. After successfully leading Vichy in Germany and Russia, she was appointed as the vice-president of the L’Oréal group’s Dermatological Beauty Division (then known as Active Cosmetics) for the Asia-Pacific region in 2016. In 2021, she became the deputy general manager of L’Oréal in Russia and was subsequently promoted to general manager.
Vianney Derville, president of L’Oréal’s Europe region, expressed confidence in Sobiecka’s ability to adapt quickly to the Italian cultural environment and contribute to the ongoing modernization process of L’Oréal Italy.
In the third quarter of fiscal 2023, L’Oréal reported a revenue of €10 billion, representing a notable increase of 4.5%.
