Recently, L’Oréal Korea has named Rodrigo Pizarro as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 4. A seasoned executive with over three decades at L’Oréal Group, Pizarro brings a wealth of international experience spanning Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Since joining L’Oréal Portugal in 1993, Pizarro has held key leadership roles across multiple divisions and geographies. His career includes heading the Consumer Products Division in Venezuela and Hungary, and serving as country manager in Venezuela, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand.
Notably, during his leadership in Australia and New Zealand, Pizarro spearheaded the company’s digital transformation, implementing advanced data analytics and AI-driven business models to accelerate growth. Most recently, he served as Chief Transformation Officer for L’Oréal’s South Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa (SAPMENA) region in 2023.
Reflecting on his appointment, Pizarro said, “I am honored to work as the CEO of L’Oréal Korea in the birthplace of K-beauty, which is the world’s fourth-largest beauty exporter and a leader in global beauty trends.” He also emphasized his commitment to strengthening long-standing partnerships within Korea and amplifying Korean innovation on the global stage “to realize the beauty that moves the world.”
