L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific has recently made a significant announcement regarding a key executive change in its leadership team. Tao Zhang, who has served as the Managing Director, will be stepping down from her current role to pursue a new opportunity within the L’Oréal group. The transition will take effect on July 1, and Jesus Abia will assume the position of Managing Director in her place.
Jesus Abia brings with him a wealth of experience within L’Oréal, having been a part of the company for the past 14 years. His journey began in Spain, where he joined L’Oréal and steadily climbed the corporate ladder. Throughout his career, Abia has held several pivotal roles, including Area Manager in the Americas for Travel Retail and Marketing Director in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his appointment as the new Managing Director, he held the position of General Manager for Luxe couture Brands in Europe, overseeing renowned and prestigious brands such as Prada, Mugler, Valentino, and Viktor&Rolf.
Tao Zhang, who has led L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific since 2021, will be transitioning to another important position within the company. Details regarding her new role will be unveiled at a later date. Zhang’s journey with L’Oréal began in 2000 in China, where she embarked on a remarkable career path that encompassed various high-profile positions. She made significant contributions during her tenure at Lancôme and YSL Beauty in Paris before moving to the Travel Retail division in 2016.
With this executive change, L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific aims to leverage the expertise and diverse experiences of both Tao Zhang and Jesus Abia to further strengthen its position in the region. The company remains committed to delivering innovative beauty solutions and exceptional customer experiences within the travel retail industry.
