L’Oréal USA has appointed Silvia Galfo as the new president of its luxe division, replacing Megan Grant. Galfo, who previously served as the division’s chief growth officer, will now report to David Greenberg, the CEO of L’Oréal USA and president of the company’s North America zone.
Before her role as chief growth officer, Silvia Galfo was the general manager of Giorgio Armani Beauty. The luxe division includes brands like Prada Beauty, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Lancôme, Kiehl’s, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others.
Greenberg said in a statement. “She is a long-term L’Oréalian with a world view on beauty and luxury. I am confident that Silvia’s strong leadership and consumer orientation will continue to drive the luxe brand portfolio to new heights in the United States.”
The appointment coincides with a period of significant expansion for L’Oréal Luxe. The division’s global growth has surpassed the market by a factor of three, excluding North Asia, where it achieved double-digit growth. Additionally, the recent integration of Aēsop, acquired from Natura&Co by L’Oréal in its largest deal to date, has contributed to this growth trajectory.
