Yesterday (August 30), Natura &Co has announced the completion of the sale of Aesop to L’Oréal for a final enterprise value of US$2.58 billion, following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
The transaction, which was initially announced on April 3, 2023, will enable Natura &Co to strengthen its financial position and concentrate on its strategic priorities. This includes accelerating the integration of the Natura and Avon brands in Latin America, further optimizing Avon International’s operations, and continuing to enhance the performance of The Body Shop.
Fabio Barbosa, the CEO of Natura &Co, expressed his appreciation for Aesop’s achievements under the guidance of Natura &Co. He conveyed deep gratitude and respect to the management and teams at Aesop, emphasizing the company’s enduring significance. He wished Aesop all the best in its future endeavors as part of the L’Oréal Group.
