Recently, L’Occitane released an announcement stating that Laurent Marteau, the Group’s Executive Director and CEO, has resigned, effective as of September 16, 2024.
Mr. Marteau’s resignation reflects his desire to focus more on personal ventures and other business interests. He has confirmed that there are no disagreements with the board, and no other matters related to his resignation require the attention of shareholders or the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
At the same time, L’Occitane announced the establishment of a CEO office and appointed Reinold Geiger, Samuel Antunes, and Ingo Dauer as its members, who will collectively serve as L’Occitane’s CEO. This appointment took effect on September 16, 2024.
It is reported that Laurent Marteau joined L’Occitane in 2022 as Managing Director, overseeing the overall management of the group. In January of this year, he was appointed CEO of the group.
Earlier this month, L’Occitane announced the suspension of share trading, pending the withdrawal of all listed shares. This marks the end of L’Occitane’s 14-year listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as the company moves toward privatization. According to the latest disclosed financial report, as of March 31, 2024, L’Occitane achieved net sales of 2.542 billion euros for fiscal year 2024, a year-on-year growth of 19.1%, or 24.1% at constant exchange rates.
