On April 17th, Kolmar Cosmetics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Phase II factory project opened and commenced operations in the Suzhou High-tech Zone. The project aims to import advanced elements such as technology, equipment, and talent from Japan, continuously increasing investment and expanding the industrial layout.
The report states that the Phase II factory project of Kolmar Suzhou, which opened and commenced operations, aims to expand the company’s operating scale, focus on technical development, and strengthen technological innovation. The project will introduce advanced R&D technology, equipment, and other high-end resources from Japan. It is estimated that after the project is put into operation, the production capacity may exceed three times the previous level, and the annual output value of the entire company is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan.
Yoshihide Kanzaki, Chairman of Japan’s Nihon Kolmar Co., Ltd. publicly stated that Suzhou High-tech Zone has an excellent investment environment and efficient government services. In the future, the company will work hand in hand with the High-tech Zone to create a more competitive and well-known cosmetics enterprise, making new contributions to the local economic development.
In recent years, Suzhou High-tech Zone has continuously expanded its opening up to the outside world, attracting nearly 2,000 foreign-funded enterprises, including over 80 foreign-funded headquarters and functional institutions, and over 60 investment projects from Fortune Global 500 companies. It has also attracted over 750 Japanese-funded enterprises, making it a representative “Japanese investment highland” in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Public records show that Nihon Kolmar was established in 1912 and is one of Japan’s largest cosmetics contract manufacturing companies. It is also a designated supplier for several top global cosmetics brands. In 1990, the company established Nihon Kolmar in South Korea. Kolmar Cosmetics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in 1997 as a wholly-owned Japanese-funded enterprise of Nihon Kolmar, with a registered capital of 241 million yuan. Its cooperative partners include well-known brands such as Rejoice and Pechoin.
