Givaudan Active Beauty has annouced that their latest innovation, Silk-iCare™. This vegan silk protein is specifically designed to protect and repair the skin, representing a significant advancement in biomimetic silk protein technology.
Givaudan stated that derived from white biotechnology, Silk-iCare™ harnesses the power of biotechnologies to develop an optimized sequence of silk proteins through fermentation. This process creates a pure biomimetic silk that exhibits film-forming properties, setting it apart from traditional skincare ingredients.
It is stated that Silk-iCare™ forms an invisible yet resilient film on the skin, delivering benefits in terms of protection and recovery. One of the standout features of Silk-iCare™ is its hydrogel structure, derived from natural silk. This structure gives it a thixotropic characteristic, resulting in a smoother application and a breathable, non-sticky finish. This means that Silk-iCare™ not only provides effective skincare benefits but also enhances the overall sensorial experience.
Givandan also provided its clinical studies. It have demonstrated a significant reduction in pore size by seven-fold within as little as 15 minutes after application. This tightening effect contributes to a more refined and flawless complexion.
